PART 1 RECAP

Last night’s Makers Club session was a masterclass in creative entrepreneurship.

In Part 1 of our Special Edition series, beauty and business innovator Robin D. Groover shared powerful insights in her presentation, Dream. Design. Deliver. The Modern Makers Handbook. Designed especially for solo makers and small-scale beauty product manufacturers, Robin walked us through how to build from within—starting not with trends, but with purpose.

From the opening moments, Robin reminded us:

“You don’t have to go viral. You don’t have to post 24/7. And you don’t need a business degree. What you do need is vision, a process, and the courage to begin.”

She led attendees through three foundational stages:

  • Dream: Reconnect with your “why.” What would your business look like if your budget was unlimited?

  • Design: Think beyond your product. What story does your packaging tell? What experience does your customer walk away with?

  • Deliver: Move from planning to execution. Create systems, protect your time, and grow through clarity—not chaos.

Robin also broke down the core functions that every product-based business needs—from creative development and fulfillment to finance, sales, and customer experience. Most importantly, she showed us how to grow strategically by focusing on systems first—then building a Dream Team to support your growth without burning out.

Her final words hit home: “Each role you delegate is a piece of your creative freedom returned.”
