Unlocking Business Success: Highlights from the October ANHC PRO National Roundtable

ANHC PRO's October ANHC PRO National Roundtable featured a dynamic conversation about key industry issues and the importance of proper business practices for beauty professionals. The event brought together ANHC PRO members and industry experts to discuss topics such as tax preparation, dual pricing laws, and BOI filings for small businesses. Elaine Truesdale, Executive Director of ANHC PRO, facilitated the meeting and highlighted the value of educating members on managing their businesses effectively.

The roundtable introduced guests from Key Tax and Financial Services—Tamasha Rosser and Keyon Russell—who shared insights on tax preparation and bookkeeping specifically for beauty professionals. Their emphasis on education underscored the importance of maintaining proper financial records, understanding tax laws, and preparing for upcoming changes like the BOI (Beneficial Ownership Information) filing requirements. Businesses established before 2024 must file by December 31, 2024. You can find more information about BOI at FinCEN's website.

Throughout the roundtable, participants had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Eddy Spencer from Monster Brand, an ANHC PRO Partner, shared valuable information about building a personal brand and leveraging retail opportunities, especially during peak buying seasons. His advice on creating retail-ready products and expanding through white labeling was especially valuable for professionals looking to diversify their income streams. Another ANHC PRO Partner, Haven Research Center, represented by Margaret Haven, also shared insights on product formulation and how beauty business owners can optimize their production processes. Margaret emphasized the importance of ensuring that your business is sourcing the right materials and streamlining production for efficiency. The session also covered upcoming ANHC PRO events, including the Houston Club Meet-up and Roundtable on October 27-28 and the Midwest Roundtable on October 28 hosted by ANHC PRO's Cincinnati Club. For more information on these events, visit ANHC PRO Events.

A notable upcoming event is the November 10 Friendsgiving, co-hosted with the Male Cosmetologist Association in Atlanta. ViiV Healthcare is sponsoring it. Attendees are asked to donate items for Status: Home (formerly Jerusalem House), Atlanta’s oldest and largest provider of permanent housing for low-income and homeless individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.
